First baseman, 1934-1945.  Coach, 1956-1957. Inducted 1958 (inaugural class).

Won the National League MVP in 1940, marking the third year in a row a Red had won (following wins by Ernie Lombardi and Bucky Walters). Played for the 1940 World Champion team.  One of only three players in MLB history to lead the league in hits for three seasons in a row.
