Left-handed pitcher, 1921-1933. Inducted 1959.
Left-handed pitcher known for his control and durability, he led the league in wins and innings pitched in 1922. Still the club leader in innings pitched and considered the best left-handed pitcher in Reds history. Taught high school Latin in the offseason. Elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in 1963 but died a month later, before his induction.
