Right-handed pitcher, 1956-1960. Inducted 1976.
Played for two years in the Negro National League before making his MLB debut with the Cardinals. His best year with the Reds was his first, in 1956, when he won his first 13 decisions and was named an NL All-Star. A native of Springfield, OH, he worked a variety of jobs with the Reds (including scouting and broadcasting) after retiring as a player.
