Granger

Right-handed pitcher, 1969-1971. Inducted 1982.

Relief pitcher in the early days of the Big Red Machine. In 1969, set a since broken National League record with 90 relief appearances.  Led the league in saves in 1970 (again, a since broken league record) and received votes for MVP in two separate seasons.  Extremely reliable and effective in the regular season, he struggled in the postseason, surrendering a grand slam to the pitcher in the 1970 World Series, a first in baseball history.
