Catcher, 1967-1983. Inducted 1986.

Widely considered among the best catchers in baseball history, Bench spent his entire 17-year career with the Reds. Heralded both for his defense and his hitting (particularly his power hitting), Bench led the league multiple times in home runs, RBIs, and caught stealing percentage as catcher, and holds the Reds’ records for career home runs and career RBIs. Winner of the Rookie of the Year award (the first catcher to win), two MVPs (plus a World Series MVP), 10 Gold Gloves, and 14 All-Star appearances (including 13 in a row.) Inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989.
